The Trendle Group was established in July 2006 on the premise of providing an invaluable service of meeting and event organization to companies and organizations, saving them revenue and manpower. Since then, The Trendle Group has served a variety of clients from all over the world, from small businesses to major corporations, and has acquired the experience to prepare for and execute corporate events that are meticulously planned and coordinated.
Kate Strickland, President/CEO
Kate Strickland, President/CEO of The Trendle Group, graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Arts in Mass Communication degree. She spent her undergraduate and graduate years gaining extensive knowledge in public relations and hospitality marketing with such companies as Hill & Knowlton in New York City and The Weber Group in London.
Upon graduation, Kate earned a coveted position with the historic, award-winning Casa Monica Hotel in St. Augustine, Florida. She spent two years developing and enhancing the catering sales department, ultimately playing a vital role in making the Casa Monica Hotel one of the leading wedding destinations in the country. She was later promoted to Corporate Sales Manager, where she was responsible for managing an active and thriving statewide client roster.
In 2006, Kate fulfilled a lifelong passion for entrepreneurship and opened The Trendle Group, a third-party meeting and convention management firm. Since then, the company has boasted Fortune 500 clients from coast to coast, as well as numerous awards and accolades for innovations in the meeting and event industry.
In 2008, Kate appeared on CNBC’s “The Big Idea” with Donny Deutsch, and in 2009, she graced the cover of ConventionSouth magazine as a “Meeting Planner to Watch.” Kate was also named an MPI Foundation Scholar the same year.
In her free time, Kate enjoys spending time with her family and friends, running, reading, relaxing at the beach, and University of Florida football.

Angela Carter, Director of Sales
Angela Carter, graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in General Communication. Upon graduation, Angela began her sales career in Orlando, FL working for one of the nation’s largest non-profit organizations where she was recognized for her sales achievements and commitment to service excellence. She was recruited from the non-profit world into the corporate sales world of the hotel/hospitality industry. She spent the next five years putting her interpersonal sales skills to work. The last three of those years were spent at the award-winning Westin Grand Bohemian Hotel, the flagship property of the Kessler Collection hotel company. Angela was instrumental in making the Westin Grand Bohemian the sought after hotel for every type of traveler, from the corporate executive to celebrities visiting the area. She was recognized as Salesperson of the Year in 2004 and served as a key team player on the Sales Team of the Year in 2005.
In 2006, Angela became the Director of Client Relations for the ORRGROUP, a large financial planning and education firm owned by her husband located in Orlando. In 2009, ORRGROUP was sold to a billion dollar asset management firm located in California. Angela then decided to focus on her family life, having a son, and moving to St. Petersburg Florida with her husband.
In the spring of 2010, she joined forces with Kate Strickland to make The Trendle Group one of the nation’s most cutting-edge third-party meeting and convention management firms.
Other than the joy she receives from spending time with family and friends, Angela’s guilty pleasures include a healthy addiction to cable news shows and her love for Florida State football.
